Who makes it

Clos Saint-Jacques covers 6.7 hectares in the Combe de Lavaux valley, and it has five owners. Each holds a strip running from the top of the slope to the bottom.

Louis Jadot acquired its strip in 1985, when it bought part of the former Domaine Clair-Daü. The vineyard faces southeast. Thin limestone and pebble soil sits on the upper slope, and dense red clay lies at the base.

For the 2023 vintage, the wine was aged for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, and 30% of the oak was new. Louis Jadot describes the 2023 season as hot and dry, with rain in June, healthy grapes and modest yields.
